Just returned from many days at an international intensive training in nonviolent communication, not as a participant but as the local host/organizer. I have a lot to say about this experience, and about the awesome venue at The Brew Creek Centre near Whistler, BC, and about the people who came and dug into the work.

During our stay there, and near the end of our time, the U.S. election took place and the US citizens among us found themselves surrounded by supportive compassionate colleagues and there was a complete gamut of emotion and concern which was a great opportunity to practice what each person was learning.

Then today I saw a tweet from a friend of mine who is in a very different network and who had no idea I was involved in this NVC event and the tweet led me to this article about how Marshall Rosenberg’s methods of nonviolent communication were an effective way to engage the right-left groups in discussion effectively, as we all have to do.

Seems like a sign to me.
