Judy

I spent a day at CALART at the invitation of the Chancellor. Our discussion was PRECISELY about arts students learning how to start and run businesses! I sincerely hope that we will be able to have an Enterprise Facilitator roaming the corridors of that Campus. You are correct about failing to see the connection between the "creative class" hype and the institutional response to it...there is none! My response, as you well know, is to help create a social infrastructure that makes it possible for communities, colleges and industry to provide "creative people" the help they need to transform their ideas into a way of making a living. By the way we have another "creative" ion our midst...we have been working with Daniel Comp on better ways to communicate our message. Check www.Hipponexus.com and www.centraloregonmicroenterprises.com

Imagine a website like this run by the CALART students describimg their enterprises!
